Yes, it can. In Rizanah, the healthy things you already do, a workout, a walk, logging a meal, drinking water, earn Seeds. Ten Seeds make a Gem, and you can use your Gems to have Rizanah plant a tree, provide a meal, or fund clean water for people who need it, through our charitable partners. This article explains exactly how the system works, how much effort each reward takes, and what it does not claim to be.

Why we built rewards this way

Most fitness apps reward you with a badge, and the badge is about you. We wanted a reward that pointed outward. The idea started with a simple wish: if we are going to stay consistent for our own health anyway, could that consistency also do something for someone else? Rizanah Rewards is our answer. You keep yourself healthy, and Rizanah gives on your behalf. It is one of the decisions we describe in why we built the Muslim fitness app we wanted to use ourselves.

How you earn Seeds

Seeds arrive on their own when you complete an action in Rizanah. There is nothing to claim and no button to press. The rates below are correct as of September 2026, and the current list is always shown in the app under Ways to earn.

The daily limits are there on purpose. We want the reward to follow a healthy day, not to encourage anyone to log twenty glasses of water.

From Seeds to Gems

Ten Seeds make one Gem, and you convert them whenever you like from the Rewards screen. To make the numbers real: a member who does a workout, gets some cardio in, logs meals and water, and checks in earns around 100 Seeds a day, which is about 10 Gems. That is an example rather than a promise, but it helps you read the catalog below.

Prices are as of September 2026 and the catalog in the app is always current. At roughly 10 Gems a day, Plant a Tree takes about five weeks of ordinary, consistent activity. That is the point. It is within reach of someone who walks and eats well, not only of athletes.

The Community Well

Most rewards are yours alone. The Community Well is shared. Any member can put any number of Gems toward one Rizanah-funded water project, and the progress bar moves the moment you contribute. It is the rewards version of the Ummah journey: many small contributions adding up to one result everyone can see.

What this is, and what it is not

We want to be exact here, because giving deserves exactness.

  • Rizanah funds the charity. When you redeem Plant a Tree, Rizanah pays for the tree through a selected charitable partner. Your Gems decide where Rizanah's giving goes. They are not money you paid.
  • It is not your sadaqah. Your own charity, given from your own means, is yours and stays yours. Rizanah Rewards is Rizanah's giving, guided by your effort. Many members think of their effort as the intention and Rizanah's contribution as the result, and that is a fair way to see it, but we do not claim religious reward on anyone's behalf.
  • Redemptions are final once they are being prepared or have been funded. You can see the status of every redemption under My Rewards.
  • Kits ship to the United States only for now. Charity, Premium, and gift rewards are available everywhere Rizanah is.

Why this helps you stay consistent

Rewards work best when they follow the behaviour rather than the result. Seeds arrive for the workout you did, not for the weight you lost, so they keep coming on the weeks when the scale does not move. And because the thing you are saving toward is a tree, a meal, or water for someone else, the motivation holds on the days when your own goals feel far away. Our guide on workout motivation for Muslims explains why a purpose outside yourself tends to last longer than willpower.

Where to find your balance

Open Rizanah and look for the Seeds pill on the Home screen. Tap it and you are on the Rewards screen, with your Seeds and Gems, the list of ways to earn, the catalog, and My Rewards for everything you have redeemed. Rewards are open to every member, on the free plan or on Premium.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Premium to earn Seeds?

No. Every member earns Seeds for the same actions at the same rates. If you are already on Premium and redeem Premium time, it is saved to your account for later.

How many Seeds make a Gem?

Ten Seeds make one Gem. You convert from the Rewards screen whenever you want.

Who actually gives the charity?

Rizanah does, through selected charitable partners, on your behalf. Your Gems decide where Rizanah's giving goes, and you are never charged money.

Can I get my Gems back after redeeming?

Not once a redemption is being prepared or has been funded. Redemption status is shown under My Rewards so you always know where it stands.

Where do the kits ship?

Rizanah kits currently ship to members in the United States. Charity, Premium, and gift rewards are available to everyone.

The main idea

Getting healthier becomes an act of giving when the reward for your effort points outward. In Rizanah, your workouts, walks, meals, and water earn Seeds, ten Seeds make a Gem, and 350 Gems plant a tree that Rizanah funds on your behalf. About five weeks of ordinary consistency, and someone else benefits from your health.
