Dairy-free and vegetarian choices

Use fortified soy drink or soy yogurt because their protein is usually closer to dairy than almond or oat drinks. Combine tofu, soybeans, lentils, chickpeas, or beans with grains, seeds, and vegetables. Eggs remain an option for ovo-vegetarians.

Prepare breakfast without a long morning routine

Cook eggs, lentils, oats, or breakfast wraps in batches. Refrigerate perishable food promptly. USDA says perishable delivered or cooked foods should be refrigerated within two hours, or within one hour above 90°F (USDA food safety).

Freeze wraps individually and thaw them safely. Keep wet toppings separate from bread until eating.

Spend less

Dry lentils, beans, eggs, oats, milk, peanut butter, and large yogurt containers often cost less per serving than individual bars or shakes. Compare unit prices and choose frozen fruit when fresh fruit is expensive.

How Rizanah helps

In the Rizanah mobile app, Meals lets you log food, see protein and other nutrition totals, plan meals, save meals, browse or create recipes, and keep pantry and grocery lists. Foods and recipes can display halal guidance, including labels that tell you when an item needs checking. Those labels support your review, but they do not replace current certification or the exact package information.

Visit Rizanah to find the mobile app for iOS and Android.

The main idea

Choose one substantial protein food, add a grain or fruit, and include produce where it fits. Supplements are a convenience rather than a breakfast requirement.

Nutrition estimates are approximate and depend on the exact foods and portions used.
